I may be a New Englander stuck in the South but I’ll admit when it’s cold. The weather we’ve been having lately (mid to upper 20s) is the start of cold…or as my husband and I put it: kinda’ cold. It’s not really as cold as it was when we lived up North but you do need a coat and perhaps some gloves. Now living in the South for about a year I’m not completely getting used to the weather (aka blood thinning) but I haven’t gone for a run in the cold like this in over a year. Normally, I LOVE to run in the cold. For me, there’s just something about warming up through movement and that feeling of the cold. Maybe I’m just weird, but I love it.
But the other day I ran only 2 miles because my body was just not quite right while running. So now here’s my new dilemma. By the time I get myself back to running in the cooler weather, it will warm up here. Furthermore, with people down here not used to driving in icey or snowy conditions I’m don’t want to put myself in a situation where I need to be worried about my safety. So here’s to doing something inside! My Insanity Program is not here yet so I’m thinking today I’m going to do some Yoga and some weight lifting.
The biggest thing is that I can not let a little fluctuation in the weather screw up my work out plan. This excuse will not work!

The cold in PA is definitely cramping my style
